I purchased these shorts because they were inexpensive and, being that I needed a lot of equipment and lacked the funds needed, I tried these. They are lightweight and quick-drying, but the padding is very thin. I found that they are much better on a narrow seat. On a wider seat, the seams feel like they're just digging into the back of my legs. When I say a wider seat, I don't mean something like a couch. I mean the something about the size of my Specialized Body Geometry saddle which is not very wide. I will keep wearing these shorts until I am ready to buy quite a few pairs of new ones. They are okay to wear if you use Body Glide or something to that effect.

These shorts were my first padded short purchase. They were inexpensive and fit well. During all of my training for the Aidsride, which consisted of 100's of miles over just a few months; I found that these shorts were incredible. The only complaint I had was that the Insport name on the leg washed off in the wash. Big deal. However, once I used them on the actual aidsride I found that on multiple day long distance riding the chamois was not very absorbant and I chafed for the first time. I have found that after most long rides now this problem repeats. Whereas when I where other shorts the problem does not or is very minimal. I would still recommend these shorts because for the price you cannot go wrong. They feel great on and after 2 years and many miles and washings still look great. I would simply advise using them for shorter rides, spin classes, mntn biking where you tend to be out of the saddle more, and avoid using them on extremely long rides especially on very hot, humid days.
