Stiff and responsive. The Zeros give you a strong feel of connectedness with the bike. The three bearings per pedal make spinning smooth and fluid. The minimalist design make the pedal efficient, extremely light weight, and break resistant. The stainless steel spindle is stiff and rustproof for longevity. These pedals save 100-200 grams over most pedals and that savings feels like double what it really is. The large contact area between the pedal and cleat offer great power transfer. The narrow profile of the pedal adds to your cornering clearance and allows you to dig deeper into tight turns.

At first the float can be a disconcerting feeling, especially when standing on the pedals. After a few short miles you realize the pedal's value. Your joints will thank you for adding float to their diet. The Zero has float that is microadjustable from 0-15 degrees.

The only downside to these pedals is that the retention system is part of the cleat. Since you walk on the cleat it gets gummed up fairly easily unless you get a cleat cover. If the retention system gets gummed up then the lateral rotation can be severely hindered.
