OK I am not wild about schmeering sunscreen on my skin. We know this! If I have to wear sunblock, I will wear Kinesys SPF 30+ Sunscreen Spray. But since I review products for our readers, I also tried their hydrating formula.
This product reminds me of traditional sunscreens, the aroma and tactile feel of the product hearkens back to something I am more familiar with. Although decidedly less greasy than most so called hydrating creams there is some cream feel after the product is absorbed (which happens very quickly). I may be being unduly harsh here as I am certain that anyone who typically uses hydrating creams would find this product not greasy at all.
But I am a guy who typically would not use such a product so consider this in reading this comment.
In terms of sun protection SPF 15 is really a relative issue. By definition the SPF rating is the factor times which you can multiply your exposure time for unprotected skin and remain unburned. So if your face can be exposed unprotected for say an hour without burning, an SPF 15 product would theoretically allow you 15 hours of protection.
Since your face is generally exposed when you are out and about, the SPF Rating of 15 is probably good enough to prevent burning since you already have a base tan on your face. But again, I would just as soon spray some SPF 30 onto my hands and rub it in. I'm already a wrinkly old man anyway and no amount of hydration will change that! The 8.5 probably reflects my personal issues. I am certain a normal user of skin care products would rate this much higher!
The Kinesys line of skin care products is good stuff. Just last week my daughter Candice came home from the dermatologist and was pleased to tell me what they recommend... Yep you guessed it Kinesys!
And one last thing... Non Comedogenic does not mean that it will not improve your sense of humor. What that refers to is that the product has been tested and shown NOT to plug pores. It does not cause comedones (black heads and white heads). In other words, it will not cause pimples!
