Interbike, where to start? Perhaps at the beginning, at the entrance lobby to what has to be the greatest explosion of bicycle related products on the planet, a veritable convocation of every conceivable use of Carbon fiber, titanium, aluminum, and plastic lying within the Sands Expo Center, waiting to be explored.



But first, before any choppers, road bikes, track bikes, time trialers, gadgets, carb delivery systems, electrolytes without carbs, or carb laden organic fruit chews, we pass through advocacy row. This is where it's really not all about the bike, but rather a lot of it is about the bike rider instead. Thus, when you first enter Interbike, you pay homage to those who work on our behalf, advocacy luminaries such as, Adventure Cycling, The Bikes Belong Coalition, IMBA, Kids of B. I. K. E., The League of American Bicyclists, Nova Youth Cycling, The Peloton Project, Rails to Trails and so many more.

The fact that advocacy row is first, allows you to see that at Interbike and beyond, the industry is working to give back just a bit to the sport that we all love. Throughout the week of Interbike, many of the manufacturers, distributors, and retailers, contribute goods, product raffle proceeds, and percentages of their sales to fund organizations working on our behalf to improve the lot of cyclists everywhere, and to promote cycling among youth.
