The Pedros Folding Hex Wrench, a useful little multi-tool, is small enough to easily fit into any size wedge bag or even in a jersey pocket to prevent you from being stranded on the road or trail.
Contains 8 tools: 2,2.5,3,4,5,6 hex; flat blade and Phillips drivers. Weight 115 g.
I donít know how many tools YOU like to carry along when you are cycling. I tend to take a lot of them, but thatís because Iím a techie. Racers tend to take the fewest, lightest possible. Long distance riders try to be well-equipped, and casual riders usually take nothing!
If you are a racer, this is not the tool for you as it only does your nuts and your screwing. It is not a multi-purpose tool. But if you (like me) like to carry a lot of stuff, this tool is great. It is sturdy enough to turn most bolts and nuts, relatively compact, but still solid enough to give you decent torque from your twists.
Myself... I tend to use it mostly in two ways:
1. I throw it in my pocket with my Leatherman when I think I might need to take care of some small tasks around the house or the office and donít want to take the whole tool box
2. I throw it in my apron pocket when Iím doing a lot of tech work. It sure saves me a lot of time when I am crouched down working on a bike, instead of getting up and rustling through my tool kit (or book of spells?) for the appropriate hex.
