Ask anyone from a school kid right on up to a grizzled veteran of life to define summer and you will hear things like: vacation, sun, no school, fun, camping, outside, biking, blue skies, long days and forgetting about school work, and household chores.
Ask a mountain biker, known for succinctness and you will hear, "Pedrosfest!"
Pedal Pushers Online is packing up our Camelbaks, cameras, and laptops. We're hanging our roadies on the wall, tossing the spandex, grabbing our baggies and t-shirts and heading to Massachusetts to bring you a taste of summer, a taste of Pedrosfest.
OK we'll presume that there are like six readers out there who actually have no idea what Pedrosfest is... (prolly roadies) and for their sake...
Pedrosfest is three days of all the best that mountain biking has to offer, single-track, technical trails, dirt piles, dust, mud, knobby fat tires, shocks, camping, and one heck of a great time on a bike and off!
Take your average roadie, slap him on a fat tired, full suspension hill climber, point him uphill and watch him... first he'll rip some single track, then he'll head up the hill, then he'll swear, get some chainring tatooes, draw some blood, get grimy, curse again, and then suddenly he'll smile. He'll get it! And where can he get it faster than anywhere else? Why, Pedrosfest of course! Friendly folks playing in the dirt, because they love it.
This year we'll have two of our staff out on the trails all three days, so look for loads of off-road shots, gorgeous woods, great trails and loads of biker shots in our galleries. Of course we'll also be in vendor's row bringing you all the great stuff and rumors have it, some new product surprises.
We'll also cover the contests, camping and fun in the dirt. So, look for all of it here on the pages of Pedal Pushers Online. Or, better yet, grab your hardtail toss it on the rack and head on up to Lanesboro, Massachusetts ride Pedros, and then come back and find that great shot of you shredding some technical trail!
We'd say, "Keep the Rubber side down" but, what fun is that?
