Zym Portable Electrolyte Drink Features:
Reviewed by Garuch
So what's new in the hydration department? Well there's ZYM portable electrolyte drink, a new electrolyte replacement product reminiscent of the Fizzies craze of the late 50's and early 60's. Supplied in a tube of 10 tablets, each ready for dissolving in 16 oz of water, the Zym does supply the same basic electrolyte load as most electrolyte replacement beverages. 250 mg sodium, 30 mg calcium, 50 mg magnesium and 50 mg potassium. Zym also provides Vitamin C, B5, B6, and B12. Visually interesting as you |

watch it dissolve in a volcanic effervescence in your bottle or glass, the entire experience says, "gee I can't believe I ate the whole thing." Bottom line, it is refreshing, crisp and thirst quenching. Although the literature claims no after taste, I am artificial sweetener sensitive and there is a slight aspartame linger. If you are a regular user as stated above it does supply the requisite electrolyte load and as claimed, it is quite portable, the tube will fit handily into a seat bag with no problem. It is mechanically less likely to suffer from being there in comparison to a packet of other sports drink powders, thus it is more "portable". Ultimately it all boils down to personal preference, do you like the taste or not? Try some and find out what you really like... |
