I guess it's me! The last shorts I reviewed demonstrated the same issue I found in these. Too much padding in the inter-leg area! Now once again this is wearing the shorts directly as they came from the manufacturer. Perhaps after a few washings these shorts will "Break In" as well. We will see and I will report back-one way or the other.
Aside from that these shorts were terrific! The Cut was perfect for me. Low waisted, these shorts do not fold over at my waist, the leg fit is just snug enough to stay put and not be restricting. All the seams were well finished and laid comfortably flat. I liked the shorts!
I am not typically a fan of liquicell gel technologies in terms of padding. But I am viewing this from the premise of hours and days in the saddle either training for or participating in multi-day charity rides. However for the novice or new roadie rider, Liquicell has its place, as I would guess so does the (what I consider) excess padding. Given enough miles and hours, I am presuming a certain toughness gets built into one's "Contact Points" with the saddle and efficiency becomes more important that perceived comfort.
So On that basis, I give the Insport Liqui-cell Men's short an 8.5 as a beginner/entre' or casual rider short! Now if you are merely posing, I'll give em a ten! Because they look great!
