The first thing I loved about these sunglasses right out of the box was the look. These are cool looking shades. That being said, it was time to see how well they worked. I'm a hard fit for sunglasses. I have a small round face. Most sunglasses do not provide me with enough protection from overhead sun. There is usually too much space between the top of the sunglass and my face causing me to squint. If I push the glasses close enough, one of two things happen. Either I get the nose cushions in my eye or I sweat and they slide back down anyway.
That being said... I'm happy to say I finally found a pair of sunglasses that fit! The Dragon Rangers feel like they were made for my face. They offer a snug comfortable fit and provide me with complete protection. The Rangers also come with a set of interchangeable clear and amber lenses. This is an added bonus for those overcast days where you still want to wear your glasses for protection from debris, branches or bugs. The lenses offer a great degree of clarity and the frames are lightweight and comfortable. I like that the lenses have vents in them to prevent them from fogging up.
If I had to point out one design issue I feel could be better it would be that when looking down, sometimes the bottom of the frame enters into your field of vision. But I find this to be a common problem with most full frame sunglasses. Also, ladies beware... the rubberized earpieces can catch your hair as you take the glasses off and on, but this is also what keeps them on your head as you start to sweat so just use a little caution.
All in all, I think these are great sunglasses. The lenses offer great clarity and the design offers full protection. They are lightweight, comfortable and offer versatility with the interchangeable lenses. They're also cool looking so after hitting the trails in the morning you could wear them to a barbeque with friends in the evening. Good all around choice.
