A trip to the wilds of Connecticut was in order. The Pedal Pushers Online Staff made the purposeful voyage there to award a pair of Rudy Project Ekynox SX sunglasses to Sabina for her awardwinning article. Sabina had not only embarked upon her first foray into cycling and triathlon... she had not only fund raised for charities in the course of training for a total of 3 triathlons... but, she had also lived to share the journey. It is her telling of the tale of her triumphs and foibles that has gained for her, our respect, our camaraderie, and a sweet pair of Rudy Ekynox SX Sunglasses.


Sabina was ecstatic and upon being awarded her prize she exclaimed excitedly, "I am a runner who has been playing the part of a cyclist for a few months.... but now I can even look the part too!"

The Pedal Pushers Staff agreed and wished Sabina many good years of cycling with her new Rudys.



"When in Rome..." Since the staff was in Connecticut anyway, they figured it would be a good opportunity to get in some wheel time off of Long Island. As part of the celebration Sabina had been asked to plan a victory ride that would give a good feel for the local flavor of her training rides with Team In Training. So, in the traditional Pedal Pusher fashion, they saddled up and rode out...

This was Sabina's first time planning a group ride but, none the less, she designed a route that would provide all that a cyclist would want. Sabina led and reports came back from the Staff that the ride was safe, scenic, challenging and ultimately fun! Another job well done. Thanks Sabina!
