We arrived at the bank drenched and dripping and I wondered if the check would arrive intact, which thankfully it did. The trouble started when I photographed Dan at the drive up ATM...

As Dan sat perched atop his Trek, coyly dialing in his pin at the ATM, the cops stealthily surrounded us! The what? The cops surrounded us, the bicycling bandits that we were. I mean wouldn't they strike at an ATM in Baldwin during a deluge, on bicycles with glaring headlights and blinking red taillights? Talk about surreptitious! And oh yeah, let's not forget about hose subtle unnoticable biking clothes with reflective piping. Anyway, in a well executed maneuver they managed to surround us with only three patrol cars.



Well we laughed our faces off! I of course started handing out PPOL cards on the outside chance that they would consider two human powered wheels over their General Motors Powered four wheelers. Dan jacklighted one of them with his Marwi Pro-Elite Light System and demanded to know the cops whereabouts on July 7th 1407, Cori asked precisely how big a bust they were expecting, and I just kept shooting pictures! We all kept laughing... Including the cops!

After the bank we spent some time cutting doughnuts in the macadam and puddles in the lot. Once we tired of that exercise, and please remember that is was raining so hard that the cops took their squad cars back under the awning they were cooped up under and left us alone in the deluge to pursue our next lunacy.



As we headed back toward the barn, we recalled our little special test track through the woods which beckoned longingly to us, so naturally we headed over to the mud, dirt, blown down branches and trees. This was probably the best test of the lighting products as they were designed for 24 hour races as much as for street use, probably more really.

Well to make a long story, well... long, we got drenched, covered in mud we and had a ripper.
