Something really exciting is coming soon to Pedal Pushers Online. We are packing up our Mountain Bikes, cameras, and computers and heading up to Pedros Fest. For all you die hard roadies, Pedros Fest is like the pilgrimage to Mecca for die hard mountain bikers. Three days of Music, Love, and... no, wait, that was another festival... anyway... Pedros Fest is a celebration of everything mountain biking. trail rides, demos, guest appearances, camping and generally having a great time.
Pedros Fest is the largest festival of its kind in the Northeast and maybe even the country which means we are looking forward to bringing you the event in as real and gritty a fashion as we can.
You can look forward to coverage on:
Celebrities:
Look for some famous faces from the cycling world. Tinker Juarez, of the Cannondale Team, always a crowd favorite, has confirmed for 2005; he'll be leading rides with Festival goers and signing autographs. Rumor has it that there is a chance that Tyler Hamilton will be on hand. Confirmation on this should happen next week.
Expos:
Each year Pedro's Festival draws in the biggest and best of cycling gear manufacturers. This year will be no different. There will be a laundry list of major gear makers on deck and they'll be showing off all the hot new stuff. The expo will feature next years product demos, which can be taken out and muddied up on the nearest trail.
Rides:
There will be rides galore. Trail rides for beginners through experts, some of which will be led by MTB legend Tinker Juarez. Complete with ride clinics to hone your skills and learn some new tricks of the trail. Try your luck at the log pulls or jumping contests as well. And... for your road loving family and friends there are even a few Road Rides...
Pedros promises to be a two wheeled load of fun. So check back each night from August 5th-8th to catch the latest. Coverage will be live, meaning you will see events posted every day, with a wrap up. Stay tuned and enjoy, but be careful... Roadies have been known to covert with extended exposure to Mountain Biking!
